Where to park
We've made parking easy for you!
There is a garage open on the corner of Hampton and Marion Streets. Our sanctuary is located directly across the street from the garage.
Our parking lot on Washington street is reserved for the handicapped and senior adults.
As you can see from the image below we have a welcome center inside Boyce Chapel. We are ready to serve you! If it's your first time visiting a Sunday school class, the members at the welcome desk are ready to assist you in finding a class that fits you! Or if you already know which class you'd like to visit, let them know and they can help you find it.
If you're wanting to drop your children off in the Children's Ministry Sunday school area it's located right in front of the parking garage. After parking enter at the blue awning, walk down the stairs, and you'll be at the Children's Welcome desk!
Here are a few people you'll see if you visit with us this Sunday!

Reaching Forward Campaign
First Baptist Church has ministered in the heart of South Carolina’s capital city for the last two centuries. The church is blessed with great facilities, but mostly with a large and diverse congregation of people who love the Lord and one another!
Join us as we continue in God’s service through Reaching Forward, a one year giving campaign benefitting the church’s building fund as well as global missions. This campaign will run from May 2014 through April 2015. Funds from Reaching Forward will be used as follows:
50% to Debt Retirement. Though less than $1.3 million currently remains of the debt incurred to build the church’s sanctuary building and family life center, as good stewards we desire to keep paying this down as we are able.
30% to Campus Projects. Through the past 4 years the church has joined the stewardship of paying for our buildings with that of keeping them in good repair. This will continue in the current campaign with additional sanctuary facilities being upgraded.
20% to Missions Projects. We have already been active in the areas spotlighted in global missions. Your gifts to Reaching Forward will enable us to better provide for them as they go into all the world.
Help make Reaching Forward a success by joining with us in prayer and in giving above your tithe. Fill out an online pledge card below and if you give online, please update your giving.
