Tuesday Mornings

The Jesus I Never Knew by Philip Yancey
starts: October 7, 2014 at 9:15am
This study is led by Esther Dennis.
Meets in Children's Center.
The Jesus I Never Knew uncovers a Jesus who is brilliant, creative, challenging, fearless, compassionate, unpredictable, and ultimately satisfying. "No one who meets Jesus ever stays the same," says Yancey. "Jesus has rocked my own preconceptions and has made me ask hard questions about why those of us who bear his name don't do a better job of following him."

Your Move by Andy Stanley

Your Move is a four-session Bible study, in which Andy Stanley looks at four questions that will help participants make sound decisions with God's help. Stanley teaches that every decision and its outcome becomes a permanent part of your story, what to do when you feel the need to pause before taking action, and how to make sound decisions to positively influence your time here on earth. It is a powerful catalyst for spiritual growth.

When a Woman Meets Jesus by Dorothy Valcarcel
in process, ends November 18
This study is led by Evelyn Cunningham.
Meets in L306.
How could a man who had no wife, no children, no home, no job, no money, and wandered the hills of Judea with twelve men relate to women of his time, much less women in the 21st century? That’s the question that led author, Dorothy Valcarcel, to search for biblical women whose lives intersected with Jesus. As she explores the lives of every woman Jesus met, she discovered that they faced many of the same challenges women encounter today.

Thursday Mornings

Approaching God with a Sincere Heart by Janey Colmorgan
starts: August 21, 2014 at 9:15am
This study is led by Janey Colmorgan.
Meets in L314.
Hebrews 10:22 tells us to “draw near to God with a sincere heart”. What does that mean exactly? If we are not sincere with God can it impede our having a relationship with Him? Being sincere means we are genuine, unmixed or without deceit. When we approach God, do we exhibit these qualities, or are we defined by our attitudes and actions that compromise our sincerity?

Monday Evening

Jonah by Priscilla Shirer
starts: September 8, 2014 from 6:45-7:45pm
This study is led by Deb McQuilkin.
Meets in at the home of Debbie Sims.
What do we do when God interrupts our lives? Many times, like Jonah, we run! Priscilla redefines interruption and shows that interruption is actually God’s invitation to do something beyond our wildest dreams. When Jonah was willing to allow God to interrupt his life, the result was revival in an entire city.
